How to get Good Conduct Certificate in UAE

UAE Expats who are looking to travel European or western countries will require a Clearance Letter or Certificate of a country he/she lived or work.

Good Conduct Certificate also called Police Clearance Certificate is issued by CID, Criminal Investigation Department of UAE Police.

Requirements to apply online:

Valid Emirates ID, Purpose of Certificate, E-mail & Mobile Number.

How to apply online through Official Website:
1. Access the user's profile through this Link.
2. Confirmation screen will send you an activation code through a (SMS) message. You must enter the activation code in the code box.
3. You will be directed to the payment screen, through which you can evaluate the service then follow up on the payment process by clicking on the payment button.
4. You will be directed to Smart Government Payment Screen to complete the payment process.

How to apply Manually by visiting Police Stations:

The following documents are required if you are submitting the application at the Counter:

1. Filled Application (click here for the Application Form)

2. Valid Emirates ID

3. Passport Copy with Visa page

4. Two photographs (4x6cm)

5. Active Email Address

6. No criminal Record(s)

Please note that Some Police Stations may not accept Manual Applications.

A: Applicant's presence is must at CID Head Quarters or at concerned Police Station for Fingerprint verification.

B: No need to fill the form. Take above mentioned documents to the Station and Police officer will enter your data in their system.

C: The applicant must have completed his residence visa in Dubai for minimum 6 months (including past years visa).

D: Certificate will be issued after 2 days.

NOTE: Applicants who required Police Clearance Certificate in English (for migration purpose) must go to Dubai Police General Headquarters, near Al Mulla Plaza, Dubai, or Port Rashid Police Station.

Validity of Certificate: 3 months from the date of issue.

Service Fee:

220 AED for Residents.

120 AED for UAE Nationals.

320 AED if you are from outside the Country.

Timings:

24h/7d for Online Applicants

7:30 am to 2:30 pm (Sunday to Thursday) for Manual Applications.
