Breaking: Overstay of 1 day will face Absconding Case, Renew visas or Exit UAE to avoid Ban

Important: A big news is circulating on social media regarding overstay on visit/tourist visas inside UAE. As per news, People who overstay will get ban (absconding) from day 1.  


Absconding case on day 1 of overstay:

As per social media accounts and some typing agents, people who are currently in UAE on visit or tourist visas need to renew or extend visas before the expiry date otherwise they will be count as absconders.

As per one of the photo circulating online quoted

" Attention to all tourist visa holders in UAE, with immediate effect, overstay of even 1 day will be absconded without any notice due to immigration update, to remain legal, extend your visa or exit the country".


Another viral notice on social media mentioned

"Final reminder for visitors staying with expired visas, absconding has been started and whoever is overstaying more than 5 days will be blacklisted and will not be allowed to enter UAE or any GCC country. Make necessary arrangements and leave country before it's late. Note: Out pass can be applied online".

The news is still not confirmed by any official source including ICP UAE, We "UAE Labours" are trying to reach official sources regarding the authentication of this news, once we got confirmation will share on same page. 


What is absconding case?
Absconding is a type of runaway case which is filled by visa sponsors, a fee of 3000 AED approximately to be paid by sponsor in-order to fill a complaint. 

Once absconding is filled, only same sponsor can lift it by paying official fees that is 3000 to 4000 AED approximately.

If absconding case is not removed, the same person will be count overstay person (illegal or blacklist person) and cannot get new visit or residence visa from inside and outside uae both. The only way to leave UAE is to get out pass.


New Overstay Fine Rules:

UAE implements new overstay fines for both tourist visa holders and residence visa holders. As per the latest updates, visit visa overstay fine is reduced by half while residence visa fine is doubled. Fine for both visit and residence visa holders is now 50 AED per day.
