Abu Dhabi police announced on Monday
06 January 2020 that it will activate the automatic smart system and stationary
radars to monitor motorists who fail to leave a safe distance between
themselves and other vehicles.
Authorities added it can detect
violators with the help of a smart system and radars installed across Abu
Dhabi.
Tailgaters will be slapped with 400 AED
fine and 4 black points.
The system will become operational on
January 15, 2020, Abu Dhabi police said in a statement.
So, motorists need to take extra care while driving specially at the time people going or coming back from duties as it is considered the most busy time on UAE roads.

Police added that it will start
sending text messages to warn errant drivers who aren’t leaving sufficient
space between vehicles;
