Ramadan Begins Tomorrow | Happy Ramadan Everyone
UAE Ministry of Islamic Affairs for
Moon Sighting announced just now that April 13 (Tuesday) will be the first day of

Saudi Arabia’s also confirmed and announced
that the holy month of Ramadan will begin by tomorrow, April 13, Tuesday.
The High Judiciary Council of Saudi Arabia
have confirmed that the 1st day of Ramadan will coincide with Tuesday 13th April 2021.
Taraweeh prayers will commence tonight (Monday, April 12) after Salat
al-Isha but due to Coronavirus, the IACAD announced that TARAWEEH prayers should be offer at homes.
The moon has also reportedly been
sighted in a number of other countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Libya, Tunisia, India, Philippines, Turkey, Oman, and Hong Kong.
Moon sighting in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan also begin but still there is no confirmation from
Moon Sighting committee.
Muslims follow a lunar calendar
consisting of 12 months in a year of 354 or 355 days. Sighting a crescent moon
heralds the start of Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar.
More than 1.5 billion Muslims around
the world will mark the month, during which believers abstain from eating,
drinking, smoking and having marital relations from dawn until sunset. They
also try to avoid evil thoughts and deeds.
Ramadan is sacred to Muslims because
tradition says the Quran was revealed to their Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) during that
month. Fasting during the month of Ramadan is also one of the five pillars of
Islam.
