All Fines on Visit/Residency Visas Waived, Leave UAE without Fines, People who Exit can Re-Enter again

Good News for UAE Expats, as per the order of UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, All visa violators will be exempt from fines.

No Fine on Visit and Residency Permits:
People with entry permits (visit visas) or residency permits that expired before March 1, 2020, will not have to pay fines, it was announced in a media briefing.

Earlier it was announced that people having expired visas after March 1 are exempted from overstay fines but now as per new order, people having expired visas even before March 1, 2020 can have an option to waive their visa fines.

3 Months Grace Period:
As per Brigadier Khamis Al Kaabi media briefing, the presidential order includes full waiver of fines for people with expired entry or residency permits willing to leave the country after May 18, 2020 - this grace period will last for another three months started May 18 till August 18, 2020.

"The order includes waiver of fines on expired Emirates ID and work permits," Brig Al Kaabi said.

People who Exit can return again:
Al Kaabi added that the decision will not prevent the beneficiary from returning to the country when he or she meets the necessary conditions.

How to Avail the Grace Period:
Brigadier Al Kaabi also said:”We urge the public to use the smart platform of the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship to get the services they need.”
