Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah Airport Closed | All Flights Cancelled

After Malls and Food establishments, Below Airports in UAE have been closed last night as preventive measures by UAE authorities to contain the spread of coronavirus.

1.     Dubai International Airports

2.     Abu Dhabi International Airport

3.     Sharjah International Airport

Dubai Airports Closed:

In a statement issued on DXB official twitter account on Monday, Dubai Airports said that Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Dubai World Central (DWC) will be closed to the travelling public until further notice.

Dubai Airport statement:

Following a new directive from @gcaauae, all passenger flights to and from the UAE - including inbound, outbound and transit - will now be suspended from 11:59pm on 24 Mar (tonight) for 2 weeks, subject to reassessment. For more information visit

Abu Dhabi Airport Closed:
Abu Dhabi International airport is also closed down for all inbound and outbound flights starting 11:59PM, 24 March, 2020 for 2 weeks as a precautionary measure against coronavirus in the country.

Abu Dhabi Airport statement:

Dear travelers, as per the directives of the UAE government, we would like to inform you that all passenger flights to, from and through AUH will be temporarily suspended starting March 24 at 23:59 UAE time for two weeks except cargo and evacuation flights.

Sharjah Airport Closed:
Sharjah International airport also confirmed its 2 weeks closure for all inbound and outbound flights following Dubai and Abu Dhabi from 11:59 PM. 24, March.

Sharjah Airport statement:
On other hand UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) on Wednesday, March 24, confirmed 50new cases of coronavirus, the highest single-day cases since the outbreak, bringing the total number of confirmed Covid-19 infections in the UAE to 248.

UAE urged residents to #stayhome and do not go outside unnecessarily.
