294 New Coronavirus Cases in UAE | Total Cases:1798


The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) on Sunday, April 5, confirmed 294 new cases of coronavirus (the highest number of cases in UAE since the outbreak) bringing the total number of confirmed Covid-19 infections in the UAE to 1798.






The new patients who are from different countries were identified by screening those who were in contact with the previously announced cases, and failed to adhere to preventive measures and physical distance.

MoHAP confirmed that the cases are being monitored, and individuals are currently in a stable condition and are receiving all necessary healthcare required. The total number of confirmed cases in the UAE now stands at 1798.

MoHAP assured that medical facilities have been equipped with all the necessary medical equipment and supplies to provide care and take all measures required to deal with Covid-19.

The ministry advised the members of the general public to adhere to preventative health and personal hygiene measures to prevent the spread of the epidemic. Ministry also urged people not to leave homes unless emergency.

It noted basic protective measures such as the frequent washing of hands; when coughing and sneezing to cover mouth and nose with flexed elbow or tissue and discarding of the tissue immediately; and to seek early medical care if symptoms of fever, cough and difficulty in breathing arise.
