2 new cases of Coronavirus in UAE | Filipino & Chinese are the victims

UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) and WAM confirmed today on Saturday the 2 new cases of coronavirus in UAE, bringing the total number of cases to 7 in the country.



The new victims of coronavirus in UAE are from Philippines and China who were discovered through the continueos periodic screening being conducted in accordance with the standards of the world health organization for people with symptoms of the conronavirus.

As per MoHAP statement the new cases, who are Filipino and Chinese nationality are under observation and necessary medical care according to the highest health standards applicable in the UAE, highlighting the effectiveness of the online reporting system.


Ministry of Health and Prevention said it works in coordination with all departments and concerned authorities in the country to take all precautionary and preventive measures and ensure the safety and security of the UAE citizens and residents.

Philippine Embassy statement:
The Embassy of Philippines in UAE also informs the public that it will fully coordinate with UAE health authorities on the case of the Filipino who was reported to have been afflicted by novel coronavirus.



In Embassy advisory, it reminds all Filipinos in the UAE to always follow the hygiene protocols of the MoHAP and the WHO (World health Organizations) to protect yourself from coronavirus.

How to Reduce the Risk of Coronavirus Infection?

1.     Clean hands with soap and water or alcohol based hand rub.
2.     Use face mask while travelling to congested areas.
3.     Cover nose and mouth when coughing and sneezing with tissue or flexed elbow.
4.     Avoid close contact with anyone with cold r flu-like symptoms.
5.     Thoroughly cook meat and eggs.
6.     Avoid unprotected contact with live wild or farm animals.
