Break Time Announced in UAE

The Government of UAE has a long-standing commitment to protect workers' rights as well as uphold the interests and rights of employers.

Major-General Obaid Mohair bin Surour, deputy-director of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners' Affairs (GDRFA), in Dubai and Chairman of the PCLA, said: "There are more than 569,128 unskilled workers in Dubai working for 3,039 companies and the PCLA ensures to protect their rights. This will have a positive impact on the country's welfare."

Here is the confirmation of worker’s rights protection from Government of United Arab Emirates  and the Ministry of Human Resources and Emirstisation.

They announced Midday Break starting from 15th June till 15 September 2016.

This Mandatory summer midday break is for General Laborers who work in the sun during hard summer season for 3 months starting 15th June 2016.

The timing schedule that is issued by Ministry of Human Resources and Emirstisation is between 12:30PM to 03:00PM.

Dh5,000 will be fined to the Violators per worker if found working during the announced break Hours.
Maximum of Dh50,000 will charged if large number for workers caught working in sun during announced Midday Breaks between 12:30 to 03:00Pm. 
Also establishment can degraded and possibly even be temporary stopped from their all operations.

If Company or Employers are forcing Labours to work in sun during above mention time and date, it is employee right to file a complaint against them at Ministry of Human Resources and Emiristisation
